September 2020 marks 15 years since the beginning of Youth Star Cambodia. It was initiated by Ms. Eva Mysliwiec in 2005, who aimed to empower Cambodian youth as volunteers to improve the quality of life in vulnerable communities through education and civic participation.

Fifteen years ago, Eva felt strongly that Cambodia’s young people could be a powerful resource for addressing their country’s most pressing social issues and contributing to its development. Since its foundation, Youth Star has been a place to build human resources, capacity, and leadership, priming young Cambodians for fulfilling professional careers.

We are deeply grateful to Ms. Eva for all that she has done to build the next generation of Cambodian civic leaders, and her compassion and dedication still guide the work we do today.
