Mr. CHIP Saroeut
Communications Officer
Mr. Chip Saroeut started working with Youth Star Cambodia in early 2018 and aims to be part of making it grow beyond its common goal. Even in his young career, he already brings with him much experience from working with volunteer organizations.
Mr. Saroeut’s first position after college was volunteering with a non-profit that aimed to spread international volunteerism in Cambodia, and he later became a full time Program Officer with Asia Volunteer Network. During those years, he worked closely with volunteers from different countries and gained rich experience with project implementation and program coordination. Having grown up in rural Battambang province, he also brings much perspective and understanding on Cambodian community dynamics and the importance of designing sustainable community development programs.
In his role as Communications Officer, he works hard to disseminate Youth Star’s work to the public and expand the organization’s capacity to recruit new volunteers and attract donors. He enjoys writing, brand management, photography, videography, graphic design, and being creative.
Mr. Saroeut graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC), majoring in Communications and Media Arts.
