Ms KAO Sokunpharady has been fully engaged as a volunteer through her internship with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Junior Chamber Movement (JCI) Cambodia. In these roles she worked with marginalized people and specifically vulnerable women and children.
In 2014 Pharady started working as the Project Coordinator for Caring for Young Khmer, in this role Pharady gained hands-on experience in working in early childhood care as well as skills in promoting development through education.
From August 2015 Pharady has joined Youth Star Cambodia as a Program Officer. In this position, she is critically responsible for supporting and coordinating the volunteer program activities, as well as participating in the planning and implementation of Youth Star’s strategic objectives.
Pharadys’ contribution to Youth Star Cambodia will also include undertaking training needs assessment and training delivery for both volunteers, and their host communities, and promoting the concept of a national volunteer service in Cambodia.Pharady holds bachelor’s degrees from the Institute of Foreign Languages and Royal University of Law and Economics majoring in Education in English and Public Administration.
